The presentation will include activities on bias and cultural understanding, as well as discussion about the barriers to and benefits of inclusivity in the workplace. Feb 22, 2017 09:00 AM Hidden Fences: Overcoming Obstacles to Change Professor Harris will give a talk that encourages people to stand with integrity instead of public opinion. In 2015 she co-authored a book on Black Lives Matter. The general public felt uncomfortable. FOX News accused her of indoctrinating white school children, and she received death threats. In 2016, she co-authored a book about the Black women who worked at NASA from World War II until the Moon Landing. She was asked to appear on the local news five times in 13 days. Same co-author, same publisher. Two very different responses.
